With Vonage you can use your home calling plan on three smartphones and get the same great calling rates on the go.* You can also use your smartphones to receive calls made to your Vonage phone number.
Other features, like SimulRing and Call Forwarding, also allow you to receive calls on smartphones, cell phones and landlines.
*Calls made outside of Wi-Fi networks will use your data plan and depending on your data plan, data-usage rates may apply.
Absolutely. If you’re going somewhere with high-speed internet, make sure you pack your Vonage Box™, because you’ll be able to make calls using your existing U.S. phone number wherever you are. We recommend updating your location in your Online Account so that if any emergency calls are made, they will be sent to the proper location.
The features that cost extra are referred to as “Add-On Features” and the features included in your plan are called “Included Features.” You’ll find them clearly labeled on this website. All Vonage calling plans cone with 25 included features, including Voicemail, Call Forwarding and Call Waiting. And of course, you get our app, which lets you make and receive calls as if you were at home.
The Vonage Extensions app lets you use your Vonage home calling plan to make and receive calls on three smartphones.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple store or Google play store and linked to your Vonage service. You can then make and receive calls from the app over a Wi-Fi or cellular connection (standard data rates apply).
Yes. You can download the app to three smartphones and link them to your Vonage home phone service, free of charge. The app is available on iPhone® and Android™.
You just need to launch the Vonage® Extensions® App on your iPhone® or Android™ device, and then select the number you want to call. The app automatically imports all your contacts from your address book, so you’ll have them at your fingertips.
The Vonage® Extensions® App app works on cellular networks and over Wi-Fi.
Your Voicemails are stored on Vonage servers, so you can access them from any internet connection or any phone. You can also have your Voicemails sent to an email account and save them on your own device.
Yes, definitely. Voicemail transcripts can be sent to you via text message. You can set this up in your Online Account depending on your plan, text and message rates may apply.
You can set up Voicemail Plus from your Online Account or by using your phone's keypad (learn more about Vonage keypad features).
Absolutely. You can specify up to five domestic or international phone numbers to ring at the same time when you get a call.
Please keep in mind that calls forwarded to international numbers not included in your plan will be charged at our low per-minute rates.
If this happens, then all the other phone numbers will stop ringing. A Vonage® SimulRing® call will go through to the first phone that answers it.
You can change it as often as you’d like in your Online Account.
Vonage® SimulRing®, like all of our features, can be set up in your Online Account.
Yes, and yes. Enhanced Call Forwarding can be set up to ring any landline or mobile phone number. Calls forwarded to numbers in countries outside of your calling plan will be charged at our low per-minute rates.
No, they won’t. Only you will know that the call was forwarded.
That’s easy. If you have access to the internet, you can sign in to your Online Account to manage your Call Forwarding settings. You can also learn more about turning this feature on and off using your telephone keypad.
A Vonage Virtual Number allows you to have a local area code and phone number in another state or country. This means you can make calls, and be reached by people with the same area code, for the price of a local call. Note that your U.S. phone number will remain your primary Vonage number.
You can get a Virtual Number in 22 different countries. To see the list, go to our Vonage Virtual Numbers page.
No, you can’t. When selecting a Virtual Number, you can only choose the area code. The rest of your number will be assigned during set-up.
Adding a Virtual Number to your Vonage service can be done in your Online Account.
To add another voice line or a dedicated fax line, simply go to your Online Account once your primary number is set up.
Absolutely. Adding a second voice line, or a dedicated fax line to your Vonage service can be done through your Online Account.
No, but you’re welcome to add a Virtual Number. This will give you a local area code and phone number in another country for people to call and reach you on your Vonage number.
After your primary Vonage line is set up, you can add a fax line through your Online Account.
It depends on your plan. You can add a fax line with 250 minutes of outgoing fax service, plus unlimited incoming faxes to your personal account.
No, you don’t. Adding a dedicated fax line to your home phone plan can be done in your Online Account.
Yes, you can send and receive occasional faxes on your Vonage voice line. Simply connect your phone line to your fax machine. However, voice lines are not optimized for fax service so, for frequent faxing, a dedicated fax line is highly recommended.
A Toll Free Plus number lets people call you at no cost from anywhere in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. You can definitely add one for personal use—just sign in to your Online Account to set it up.
